Join us at our next Forum meeting to find out how technology can be used to ‘help people live well, receive information, support treatment when they need it and make choices about how their care services are provided’. North Yorkshire Health and Wellbeing Board is developing a strategy which will provide a 10 year plan of how technology can be used to help organisations work together to provide an integrated approach to services.
There will also be a presentation by Rachel Durrett (Harrogate and Rural District Clinical Commissioning Group) prior to a Summer engagement event focusing on community mental health services for adults and older people in the Harrogate District.

NHS Digital are introducing a new tool that people can use to opt out of their confidential patient information being used for reasons other than their individual care and treatment.This is part of a vision to improve patients’ trust and confidence in how data is looked after by the health and social care system, following the failure of the Care.data project two years ago. The national data opt-out will be available for the public online from 25th May at https://digital.nhs.uk/services/national-data-opt-out-programme
For those who do not want to or cannot access the service digitally there will be also be a national telephone service available on 0300 303 5678.
Citizens UK is a civil society alliance in the UK which is currently campaigning for better funding for social care.
