Harrogate district community transport information update

HELP logoHARCVS is in the process of setting up a voluntary car driver service for Harrogate, Knaresborough and the surrounding villages which will provide a door-to-door service on non-urgent journeys for essential trips, as well as  to attend medical appointments, lunch clubs, day centres etc.  We anticipate it will be operational by the end of the summer.

There is a service for the Boroughbridge area run by Boroughbridge Community Care http://www.harcvs.org.uk/bcc

In the Harrogate area transport can be provided by Happy Wanderers http://www.happywanderersambulance.org.uk

For residents of Harrogate, Knaresborough and the surrounding villages, North Yorkshire County Council also offers a demand responsive bus service for those with limited access to or no vehicle of their own and without access to public transport due to mobility or location.

Fares are dependent upon distance travelled and there is a concessionary rate for pass holders. ( Single fares: 0-3 miles £7.00 or £3.50 (concess), 3.1-5 miles £9.00 or £4.50 (concess); 5.1-7 miles £12.00 or £6.00 (concess)
