New interactive map for dementia care
The government has just launched a new interactive map which demonstrates significant gaps in dementia care. This is the latest Government initiative to improve the way dementia sufferers are treated by the NHS.

Alert! Beware bogus Government websites

A warning has been issued about websites purporting to be Government organisations but which are charging extra for services which should have a fixed fee. The services include renewal of driving licence, passports etc.
Launch of Health & Social Care watchdog
Healthwatch, which was formed in April of this year, is hosting a launch event on November 14th at the Cairn Hotel 1-3pm. Refreshments provided. The watchdog provides a forum for the views of patients, carers and the public so that they can be involved in influencing the quality of health and social care in North Yorkshire.
Staywarm tariff ends
Eon has scrapped the Staywarm tariff as of October 7th. This is bad news for those households with someone over 60, which had enjoyed a tariff with fixed rates for gas and electricity.
