On a bright sunny day, we gathered at the White Hart hotel in Harrogate to celebrate Older People’s Day.

August 2nd 10 am – 5 pm A Group Visit and Guided Tour of Helmsley Walled Garden
“This magical 5 acre garden lies in a beautiful setting below Helmsley Castle in the grounds of Duncombe Park. Around 20000 visitors come each year to explore the Vine Houses and discuss the individual garden areas, admiring the towering walls with their espalier trained fruit trees. There is also a sensory garden, a physic garden and an exotic border. The large herbaceous border has been replanted and there is also a spring garden, organic vegetable gardens, rose beds and scented garden.”
