With an increasingly ageing society, charities may be finding it harder to attract volunteers. Skills for Volunteers – Free 11 week course for people wanting to explore volunteering and improve their skills & confidence
Starting Thursday 2 October, 1pm – 3pm at Harrogate Community House
The Volunteer Centre is working in partnership with the WEA (Workers’ Educational Association) to run this course. Over the 11 weeks we will look at:
- Roles and responsibilities
- Improving communication skills
- Equality & diversity
- Exploring options
- Recognising your skills and what you can offer.
This course is free and open to anyone who would either like a bit more support to get started in volunteering or would like to meet some fellow new volunteers.
