The Care Quality Commission (CQC) checks how good health and social care services are in places like hospitals, GP surgeries, care homes and home-care services. This booklet outlines what it found in these services in England over the last year.

A fake email purporting to be from Just Eat is doing the rounds, tempting recipients to claim a £50 gift card they’ve been ‘chosen’ to receive. Clicking the link will take you through to a phishing website, which attempts to steal your personal info.

Recent research has shown that many people are feeling anxious and/or depressed as a result of the restrictions imposed during the current pandemic. Some people are reacting to the loneliness of self-isolation, quarantine or shielding and this is having an adverse effect on their mental health. Whilst interactive chats via social media are helping some people communicate, others have been seeking relief from comfort eating and increased alcohol consumption. City of London National Fraud Intelligence Bureau has issued information about the risk of a scam involving the NHS Covid-19 Test and Trace procedure.

This information has now been circulated by the Yorkshire Community Messaging Service.

They have been monitoring the outbreak very closely. As you know the situation has rapidly changed as has the guidance. As a result they have decided to postpone the State of Caring conference scheduled to take place on 16th July 2020.
