The local Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is proposing changes to the way in which repeat prescriptions for medicines are being handled. As you can imagine, many patients are expressing concern about this. In order to clarify the situation, the Forum has invited a respresentative from the CCG to attend our next Forum meeting to explain what is proposed. Congratulations to the dementia services in Harrogate and District which have been awarded the Yorkshire and Humber Dementia Quality Award, for the innovative approach that the local NHS has taken to make improvements for patients, their families and carers.
The Harrogate and Rural District Clinical Commissioning Group known as HaRD CCG was created in 2012 and one of its first public consultations was in relation to Mental Health Care for vulnerable adults. This afternoon’s presentation highlighted the work of the group to date and emphasised the need for people to get involved with shaping future healthcare provision.
